Exercising in the morning has been proven in countless studies to boost overall health. Running in the early morning, in particular, is highly beneficial because of the following reasons:
- Running in the morning can improve blood pressure. This is one of the reasons why those who are at high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases are advised by doctors to jog or run to start their day.
- Running can wake you up and boost brain activity. What’s more, the impact of running on the brain can last throughout the day. So, if you have a full day of work ahead of you, there’s no better way of jumpstarting things than going out for an early morning run before heading to work.
- Running can help you keep stress at bay. As an early morning workout, it makes sure that you have stress-busting happy hormones right at the start of the day. Running and other exercises trigger the release of endorphins.
If you want to be in the best health of your life, you need the help of these naturally occurring substances. Endorphins do not only inhibit the activities of stress hormones but they also reduce pain, enhance the body’s immune response, and control appetite.
That being said, there’s no disputing how advantageous it is to go on regular morning runs. But, do you know that you can get more out of this strategically timed activity?
One of the best ways to truly power up your early morning runs is by drinking Bulletproof Coffee. The caffeine from this beverage (which, like any other coffee, can be consumed hot or cold) will not only provide you with more energy to pump more power into your morning runs, but it can also help you work out for longer.
Another advantage is, from a single serving of this “loaded” beverage, you can even skip breakfast and head straight to work especially when you are pressed for time.
How to Prepare Bulletproof Coffee for Your Morning Run
During the chilly season, enjoy the hot version of this coffee. Prepare:
- 2.5 tablespoons of ground Bulletproof Coffee beans
- 1 cup filtered hot water
- A French press (which is better than paper filters that sift coffee oils as well)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of Brain Octane Oil
- 1 to 2 tablespoons grass-fed unsalted butter or grass-fed ghee
Brew the coffee in the filtered water before using a French press to separate the beverage from the ground coffee beans. Afterward, place it in a blender and add the BCO and butter or ghee. Blend everything together for about 30 seconds and pour the delicious and foamy latte in a cup.
When the weather is hot, on the other hand, opt for the cold brew version. There’s more work and waiting involved (16 to 20 hours normally) but you will get a refreshing morning drink to fuel your morning run and the rest of the day. For a cold brew, you will need:
- 5.5 tablespoons of ground dark roast Bulletproof Coffee
- Around 16 ounces of water
- A French press
Just put the coffee grounds and water in the press. Mix the coffee grounds a bit with a stirrer to get them really wet before leaving the press in the fridge for 16 hours or so.
When you are ready to drink the brew, press the coffee grounds down and pour the coffee into a blender to mix in the BCO and ghee. Blend everything well and then pour into a tumbler or tall glass with ice. Or, you can just drink the coffee on its own.
If you really love cold brew Bulletproof Coffee but you simply do not have the time to prepare it, opt for the ready-to-drink versions which come in a variety of delicious flavors and even fortified with collagen protein.
Use Original Recipes
There are different recipes for “butter coffee,” which a lot of people still call Bulletproof Coffee. It is, however, crucial to point out that different recipes deliver different results. Therefore, if you want the fullest benefits of drinking Bulletproof Coffee, use the recipes developed by the Bulletproof team.
The recipes make a whole world of difference not just in terms of nutritional value but also in the taste. The originators have made sure that the recipes for standard, medium, and dark roast coffee beans always create the smoothest and creamiest beverages. They spent countless hours determining how to make all the coffee bean roasts taste good with Brain Octane Oil and butter or ghee as well.
The Bulletproof Lifestyle
And lastly, if you wish to enhance the amazing results of starting your day with Bulletproof Coffee, take things up a notch by following the Bulletproof diet. The diet will further improve muscle gain, fat loss, and energy for the best overall physical (and mental) performance and health outcome.
So, all in all, drink your coffee before hitting the treadmill or running around your neighborhood, follow the diet, and make being “Bulletproof” your healthy lifestyle.
